BAPTISM

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a step of obedience that someone takes after they have trusted in Jesus Christ as their Savior. Baptism is a symbol that someone has a restored relationship with God through their faith in Christ. At Crosspoint City, we practice baptism by immersion and only baptize professing believers in Christ (Matthew 3:16, Acts 8:37-38). Baptism is symbolic of the following things:

Christ’s death and resurrection

The Christian’s union with Christ

The new life that a Christian now walks in

The Christian is now cleansed and washed away of sin

Who Should Be Baptized
Who Should Be Baptized

Any person who has made a genuine profession of faith should be baptized. Crosspoint City encourages anyone who has made this profession of faith to follow the way of Jesus and be baptized as a step of obedience. There is not a certain amount of time, a certain level of spiritual maturity, or any other factor that should delay a Christian from taking this step.

How Do I Take This Step?

We will have baptisms on the third weekend of every month at all our gatherings. Have questions about Baptism? Email nextsteps@crosspointcity.com. If you would like to take this next step in your faith, please register below:
